Taxspire Terms of Service

Welcome to Taxspire. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Taxspire"s platform and services, including invoicing, expense tracking, inventory management, expert consultation, and tax filing (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using Taxspire, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using Taxspire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms.

Taxspire may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and operate a valid business in Nigeria to use Taxspire.

Account Registration: Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Notification: You must immediately notify Taxspire of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Use of the Platform and Prohibited Activities

Permitted Use: Taxspire is intended for lawful business management and tax compliance purposes.

Prohibited Activities: Users may not:

  • Use the Services for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Taxspire systems or data.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services.
  • Distribute harmful software, viruses, or malicious content.

Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, including tax and data protection regulations (e.g., Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, Nigerian Data Protection Regulation 2019).

4. Fees and Payments

Free Services: Taxspire offers invoicing, expense tracking, and inventory management features free of charge.

Paid Services: Expert consultation and certain tax filing services may require payment. Fees will be clearly displayed prior to booking or using such services.

Payment Terms: Payments are due at the time of purchase. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Taxes: Users are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with paid services.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Ownership: All platform content, software, logos, and materials are the property of Taxspire or its licensors.

User Content: Users retain ownership of the data and content they upload, but grant Taxspire a non-exclusive license to operate and display this content within the Services.

Restrictions: Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Taxspire"s intellectual property without express permission.

6. Third-Party Services

Taxspire may integrate or link to third-party services (e.g., accounting tools, payment processors).

Use of third-party services is at your own risk, and Taxspire is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or compliance.

7. Privacy and Data Security

Taxspire collects and processes user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Users are responsible for safeguarding sensitive business information.

Taxspire implements reasonable security measures, but does not guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access or breaches.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No Professional Advice: Services do not constitute legal, accounting, or tax advice. Users are encouraged to consult qualified professionals for specific advice via the Taxspire Book an Advisor page.

Service Availability: Taxspire does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Taxspire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform. Total liability for direct damages is limited to the fees paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

Taxspire may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or at our discretion.

Upon termination, access to user content may be restricted, and obligations such as payment of fees and liability limitations survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation 2019, and relevant tax laws.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.

11. Changes to Terms

Taxspire may revise these Terms at any time.

Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
